Privacy Policy

Pike & Prairie Realty LLC (“Pike & Prairie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates pikeandprairie.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect about you, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to help you find or sell a home, and we never sell your personal information.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk).
• Search and saved-listing activity. We store the listings you save, the searches you save, and the filters those searches use, so we can show them back to you and send the alerts you asked for.
• Inquiries. When you fill out a contact, valuation, tour, or custom-search form, we collect what you submit (typically name, email, phone, property address, and any notes) so Katy can follow up. Consistent with standard practice on real estate websites, we may also capture identifying information (email, and phone if provided) as you complete a form even before you click submit, so a partially-filled inquiry isn’t lost. We treat partial submissions the same way as completed ones, and you can ask us to delete the record at any time.
• Site analytics. Our servers log basic request data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) for security and performance.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiries and provide real estate services.
• To send listing alerts and saved-search notifications you have explicitly opted into.
• To improve the Site and the search experience.
• To comply with applicable real estate licensing rules and other legal obligations.

Cookies

The Site uses essential authentication cookies set by Clerk to keep you signed in across pages. These are required for account features to work. We do not use third-party advertising, retargeting, or behavioral tracking cookies on this Site. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a clear notice.

How long we keep it

We retain account, saved-home, and saved-search data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove that data within 30 days, subject to limited exceptions for inquiry records we are required to retain under Wisconsin real estate licensing rules (typically three years from the date of the transaction or inquiry). Server logs are kept for up to 90 days for security and performance.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to be contacted by text — for example, by submitting a contact or inquiry form on the Site, or by opting in through your account — we may send you SMS messages about your real estate needs. If you separately opt in to text alerts, we may also send automated notifications when new listings or price changes match your saved searches. You opt in expressly, marketing texts are never a condition of any purchase or service, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. We will never share or sell mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

SMS terms and conditions

1. We use SMS for real estate services — following up on your inquiries and answering questions, scheduling and confirming showings and appointments, and sending updates during an active transaction. If you opt in to text alerts, we also send automated notifications of new listings and price changes that match your saved searches. We use SMS to confirm appointments, send reminders, and notify clients of schedule updates or important changes.
2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP.” After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword “HELP” for more assistance, or you can get help directly at pikeandprairie@gmail.com.
4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency may vary. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

Service providers we use

We rely on a small set of vendors to operate the Site. They process information only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:

• Clerk — account authentication.
• Supabase — database for accounts, saved homes, and saved searches.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Follow Up Boss — customer relationship management for Katy's real estate practice.
• Vercel — hosting and request logs.
• Metro MLS — listing data feed.

Your choices

• You can review and remove saved homes and saved searches from your account at any time.
• You can disable email alerts or SMS alerts on a per-search basis from your account.
• You can request a copy of your personal information or its deletion by emailing pikeandprairie@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act give you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of your data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email pikeandprairie@gmail.com; we will respond within 45 days.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, when appropriate, notify you through the Site.
